2256 new students to Business Academy Aarhus

In late August, Business Academy Aarhus will welcome 2256 new students. This is 8 percent more than last year. Therefore, Aarhus’ third largest educational institution once again has a record number of admissions for the seventh year in a row.

1,634 received an email at the end of July stating that they have been accepted to a higher education programme at Business Academy Aarhus. One of them is 18-year-old Kasper Elkjær from Randers. Along with 77 others, he is starting on the Financial Controller programme.

‘I want to get  into the labour market quickly, and this programme fits perfectly with my interests and job aspirations,’ said Kasper, who would like to work as an advisor or accounting clerk in the accounting profession.

More students, year after year

Besides the 1,634, a further 622 were informed that they were accepted into one of the Academy’s Bachelor’s degree programmes. This brings the total intake up to 2256, which is 162 additional students, or in other words 8 percent more than last year.

Calculations from Business Academy Aarhus and the coordinated enrolment system (KOT) confirm these numbers. So once again, the Academy’s 24 programmes will be full of competent students. For example, one of our newest programmes, the AP Degree in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management was very popular with 256 applications for only 80 places.

It has become harder to be admitted

At Business Academy Aarhus, the Rector Christian Mathiasen is pleased with the increased intake.

‘It has become harder to get in. And it is positive that we continue to grow each year. Several of our degree programmes require a higher average mark in order to be accepted,’ says Christian Mathiasen.

A few study places still available

As you can see on the Academy’s website, despite the increased growth, we do still have a few available study places left.
