Chemical And Biotechnical Technology And Food Technology

This programme in English will no longer accept new students from 2022 and onwards.

Information about the Chemical and Biotechnical Science programme on this page only applies to students who are already enrolled at Business Academy Aarhus.

About the programme

This programme is the Bachelor top-up for the Chemical and Biotechnical Science programme. The programme takes 1½ years (90 ECTS) and is a dynamic way to get a longer, higher education degree and additional job opportunities.

The programme is comprised of a common part for all, two specialisation options, an internship in a company in Denmark or abroad and a final Bachelor's project

The common part teaches you how to apply mathematics, commerce, production and quality control, plan experiments and communicate in relation to your specialisation. In connection with your specialisation you will work with subjects that relate to laboratory or food technologies.

The two lines of specialisation are:

  • Chemical and Biotechnical Technology
  • Food Technology

You can study, join a summer school or take your internship abroad during the programme.

This entire programme is taught in English.

Take subjects from the programme - while you are working

You can take the programme subjects as individual courses - for example while you are working. Teaching is in English (in Autumn 2022). Read more about individual subjects here (only in Danish - contact us for information in English)

Internship in your 3rd semester

In your internship, you will get to test your newly acquired skills in a company and get insight into future work assignments and career opportunities. You will be able to connect your theoretical knowledge with practical experience and at the same time strengthen your CV.

In the internship, you can try a specific field of work and then focus your programme in relation to your career plans. As part of your internship, you must write a reflection report based on what you have learnt - and include your reflections on what you will do to ensure the continued development of your competencies.

The internship is a mandatory part of your programme, and it is your responsibility to find an internship company. To help, we have a wide range of tools and contacts available, e.g. via our job and internship portal.

Your internship can be taken in a company in Denmark or abroad. Here are some examples of internship companies:
