Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Student exchanges with Africa in the traditional sense are difficult, but this doesn’t mean that you won’t learn anything from cooperating with and staying in Tanzania for example.  The country has recently experienced rapid economic development, which will give you the opportunity to work with innovation and entrepreneurship in a developing economy, while at the same time you can explore East African culture.

Visa information about Tanzania

Almost all nationalities, including Danes, must have a visa to enter Tanzania, also for short stays. So check whether you need a visa.

For tourist stays like for example participation in the summer school, you need an Ordinary Visa which will be issued at the airport when entering the country. It costs approximately 50 USD and must be paid in cash. An Ordinary Visa is valid for 30 days.

If you wish to do your internship in Tanzania, you need a Student Entry Visa which typically requires a letter of invitation from a university. Please contact International Office at the Academy to learn more. If you have already found a company, they may also be able to assist you in this matter.
