Tuition fees are paid for when you study a semester at one of Business Academy Aarhus’ partner institutions.
Even though the actual education is free, there are still expenses related to living and studying abroad. You can apply for grants to cover these expenses.
Most of the exchange agreements the Academy has in Europe are with institutions who are part of the Erasmus Programme. When you apply to go to one of these European partner institutions, you apply for a study placement as well as an Erasmus grant.
The size of the grant varies from year to year but is approximately €200 per month.
NB. Please note that possibly not all applicants will be able to receive an Erasmus grant. This is due to an increased number of students wanting to study abroad and a limited amount of grants. If this is the case, it will still be possible to study abroad as an Erasmus student – but without the grant.
As a Danish citizen, you can take your SU with you when you study abroad. All it requires is that you are eligible to receive SU and that Business Academy Aarhus approves your stay abroad as a full credit awarding stay that can replace a part of your programme at the Academy.
As a foreign citizen, you have to meet certain demands in order to be entitled to bring your SU while studying abroad.
For free movers only.
If you are eligible to receive SU while studying abroad, you are able to apply for “Udlandsstipendium” in addition to regular SU. The “Udlandsstipendium” will pay all or part of your tuition fees at a foreign university. All it requires is that Business Academy Aarhus approves your stay abroad as a full credit awarding stay that can replace part of your programme at the academy.
This is a grant that is awarded at the end of the autumn semester.
You cannot apply for the grant but must be nominated by your teacher to be able to receive a grant of DKK 15,000 – 20,000. Therefore, you have to make your teachers aware that you are going abroad, and they will then nominate the students that they consider are entitled. Be aware that a nomination does not mean that you automatically get the grant.
The grant is only awarded to students:
- of Marketing Management (Markedsføringsøkonom)
- of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Innovation og Entreprenørskab)
- of International Sales and Marketing Mangement (International Handel og Marketing)
- with a Danish citizenship
- who are abroad during the period of January – July
There are many grants you can apply for. Find the ones relevant to you online or in ‘Legathåndbogen’ (you can borrow the book at the library).
