'Entrepreneurship in East Africa'
The summer school “Entrepreneurship in East Africa” is a 2 week course that substitutes one of the electives during your programme. The course is ideal for students who want to incorporate a different type of elective in their educational profile.
The purpose with the elective course “Entrepreneurship in East Africa” is to provide basic knowledge about the East African market. You will obtain know-how about the Tanzanian market and be able to use your knowledge to analyse the market opportunities seen from a company’s point of view.
The course is divided into four main areas:
- History and culture
- Market conditions
- Emerging trends
- Entrepreneurship in a developing country
Lecturing will be based on theory that is carried out in practice based cases and company visits. The entire course will be taught in English by lecturers and professors from the University of Dar es Salaam Business School and Business Academy Aarhus.
Where and when?
The course is offered in collaboration with Washington State University and the University of Dar es Salaam Business School. The course takes place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 17 July - 28 July 2017.
