The Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management and Services provides a targeted qualification that gives access to a wide range of job opportunities. However, this programme can also be a dynamic step towards achieving an advanced higher education for example a Master’s degree.
Earn yourself a master's degree
The programme enables you to enroll for a postgraduate programme at a master’s level. Since this programme is at the same level as a bachelor's degree from a university, you can later enroll for a relevant master’s degree at a university in Denmark or abroad.
One option if you want to dip into the university environment, is to enroll for a subject at a university, for example in the last semester of the programme where there is a series of electives (1 – 3) worth 15 ECTS.
Further education abroad
Business Academy Aarhus has a number of agreements with foreign universities who provide credit transfers to students who have obtained one of our BA degrees.
When you have earned your degree as a Bachelor of Financial Management and Services, you can continue at a master’s degree programme in Economics and Business Administration.
If you started on the Financial Management and Services programme in 2013 or later, you can be admitted directly to the master’s degree programme provided that you have taken certain electives (1-3) in your 6th or 7th semester. Please note that there may be restricted admission to some programmes. The electives must be the following:
- Advanced statistics, 5 ECTS
- Elective 2 and 3, 5 ECTS, must be in the field of ’managerial economics and operational management’
If you started on the Financial Management and Services programme in 2012 or 2011 you have to fulfill special conditions in order to be admitted to the master’s degree programme. You must supplement your education with 5 ECTS in the field of ’managerial economics and operational management’. Furthermore you must have taken certain electives at your 6th or 7th semester:
- Advanced statistics, 5 ECTS

University of Southern Denmark
You can continue your studies on the master’s degree programmes in Business and Social Sciences offered by the University of Southern Denmark. You should note, however, that you will need to pass some supplementary subjects to be admitted.
As a Bachelor of Financial Management and Services you can continue your studies on the master’s degree programmes in Business Economics, Trade and Management at Aalborg University. In order to be admitted you must supplement your degree with these subjects:
- Management Accounting – 10 ECTS
- Methods in Business Economics – 5 ETCS
It is a pre-condition to achieve credits that your A elective is Auditing and your C elective is Statistics. If you have not passed these electives, you must supplement with External Accounting – 5 ECTS (instead of the elective Auditing) and/or Statistics – 10 ETCS (instead of the elective Statistics).
There are no restrictions on admission to the master’s degree programmes in Economics and Business Administration.
Students applying for other master’s degree programmes are admitted according to the same conditions as all other students with a bachelor’s degree which means that you can apply and have your credits and qualifications individually assessed.
