Student life at Sønderhøj 30
Our department at Sønderhøj in Viby is a modern building, located right next Viby railway station. During the day the corridors hum with the activities of the about 4,000 students enrolled in our higher education programmes, and in the evenings the students in our part-time programmes make the place come alive.
Teaching takes place in classes comprising between 25 and 30 students which gives you ample opportunity to have a good social life with your fellow students. You will experience teaching approaches that emphasise theory as well as practice.
As a student you will be studying in an inspiring environment and you will have every opportunity to put your very own mark on your study time.
You can read more about our facilities and activities here:
Basement is the place to go to enjoy a coffee or drink a beer with your fellow students.
From Monday to Wednesday, Basement is open from 8:00-16:00, where we offer a quiet and pleasant place for students to meet – you can organise group meetings, use it to study or catch up on your reading, or just hang out with your fellow students.
The bar in Basement is only open on Thursday and Friday from 11:30 and functions as the ‘after-school’ bar. Here you can enjoy everything from a good cup of coffee, beer and/or drinks. Unlike the first three days of the week where Basement is a cosy and quiet lounge, the place comes alive on Thursday and Friday afternoons and evenings. The bar provides festive bartenders as well as various competitions in everything from table football to beer pong. You can also borrow various board games or play PlayStation4, if you would rather have a quieter evening with your fellow students.
We look forward to seeing you!
Basement is open from 8-16 every day. The bar is open every Thursday and Friday from 11:30.
