Denmark is a country in Scandinavia in the Northern part of Europe. Denmark has 5.5 million inhabitants, over 7000 km. of coast line and more than 400 minor islands.

With a population of 300.000, Aarhus is the second largest city in Denmark. The city is an attractive education centre with Denmark’s largest concentration of students. Nearly 12 % of the inhabitants in Aarhus are students – that is more than 40.000 students gathered in one city. Aarhus is therefore the youngest city in Denmark. But at the same time, however, we keep the past very much alive here in Aarhus with lots of historic sight and a lively cultural life.
