Financing
There is no tuition fee for Danish students, Nordic students, and students from the EU/EEA countries. Also, students with a permanent residence permit in Denmark or with a temporary residence permit with the possibility of obtaining a permanent residence permit in Denmark pay no tuition fee.
All other students must pay full tuition fee. See the tuition fees here.
The tuition fee is to be paid in equal instalments prior to each semester. Failure to pay the first instalment will result in annulment of the application. Failure to pay other instalments prior to semester start may result in expulsion from the academy. In both circumstances the immigration service will be informed which may have implications on visas.
Tuition fees only cover tuition expenses, not living expenses like accommodation, food and leisure.
General costs
All students are to pay all costs concerning books, field trips and trips abroad themselves.
All international students must pay a materials fee of € 300 prior to admission. The compulsory materials fee covers expenses like prints, handouts, student card, introduction arrangement, etcetera.
Living expenses in Denmark are quite high – see an example of a student budget by clicking on the box to the right. We strongly recommend that the student has enough money to cover his/her living expenses for the first 6 months.
Scholarships and grants
The Danish Ministry of Education offers a scholarship scheme for non-EU citizens. Applicants are recommended for the scholarships by Business Academy Aarhus. Please note that there are very few scholarships available and that they will be given to highly skilled applicants. The Ministry of Education has reorganized the scheme so that in future we will be able to put applicants forward for either a scholarship to cover the tuition fee expenses or a grant to cover living expenses. Business Academy Aarhus decides the distribution of scholarships and grants.
The scholarship application form must be forwarded to Business Academy Aarhus along with the KOT Application and Priority forms. Scholarship applications received after the application deadline 15 March will not be considered.

Danish citizens can apply for financial support (SU) according to the rules for obtaining grants and loans from the Danish State Education Grant and Loan Scheme. Please see www.su.dk.
Non-Danish citizens have to meet certain demands in order to be entitled to receiving SU. For further information please read here.
