The Programme

The duration of the programme is four semeters. New classes start in February and September each year. The programme has two specialised lines, i.e. computer technology and electronics line. The programme consists of compulsory subjects (75 %) and an individual part/specialisation (25 %).

Program Structure

During the first half of the 1st semester – which is common to the two lines – your work will focus on system knowledge and training in work methods. The 1st semester compulsory part will give you a good foundation for choosing which line to follow from then on.

During the 2nd and 3rd semesters, you will work with academic subjects, and during

the 3rd and 4th semesters, you will add your individual touch to the programme. Teaching and academic level have been planned to accommodate everybody – regardless of whether you have an upper secondary qualification or a basic vocational education.

The figure below shows an example of general subjects for the two lines.

Projects and Teaching

Fundamentally, the study and work form is based on projects. They strengthen the cohesion between the academic subjects and ensure that from the moment you start your studies, you use the very work methods that are being applied in the industry.
You will work with various projects during each semester. The framework for the projects will be pre-defined, but you will be able to influence the specific projects. You will be working in a project group assisted by a project supervisor. Furthermore, you will receive guidance and theoretical tuition with assignments and exercises.
