Business Academy Aarhus to choose this year’s best internship company

Join the competition to decide this year’s best internship company. Business Academy Aarhus invites all former and current students in an internship – in Denmark – to take part in the competition.

Once again, Business Academy Aarhus will crown the best internship experience.

Our winner will progress to the national competition in Børsen in Copenhagen, on the 28 May, when the best internship company will be chosen from the 8 business academies’ finalists.

‘Interaction with the business community is pivotal to the Danish business academies and not least for Business Academy Aarhus. This competition adds even more emphasis to the valuable partnership we have with companies and our practice-orientated educational programmes, which is our DNA,’ says  Christian Mathiasen, Business Academy Aarhus’ Rector.

Tribute to good cooperation

Every year, over 1,700 students from Business Academy Aarhus undergo their internship. An internship is compulsory on all our higher education programmes. This means that many companies make a great effort so that the internship is both a good professional and personal experience. The competition presents a perfect opportunity for the students to give their internship company a pat on the back.

‘The internships give our students valuable work experience. It is here, they really get to use their skills and convert their knowledge into value. For many of our students, an internship even opens the door to a job. The compulsory internship is therefore an extremely useful element for all our programmes,’ says the Rector Christian Mathiasen.

About the ‘Best internship company 2019’:

The students nominate the company where they did their internship.

Students who have been in an internship whilst doing their AP degree or their Bachelor top-up in autumn 2018 or spring 2019 can nominate the company they were at (or their own company) via this online form.

The internships will be evaluated within:

  • personal and professional development

  • the social experience
  • turning knowledge into value.

You can nominate your internship company until Sunday 31 March.

A jury will choose the winner on Tuesday, 9 April. The jury consists of representatives from the industry and Business Academy Aarhus.

The winner will be part of the national final which this year will be held at the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Copenhagen on 28 May where an overall winner for all business academies in Denmark will be crowned.

How to participate in the competition

If you did your internship in the academic year 2018-2019, you can nominate your internship company via this form.

The selection of the five nominees is based on your nomination, so get the jury’s attention with good examples and explanations, which support precisely why your internship company should win.

This is the fourth year in a row that the competition is being held. Students from Business Academy Aarhus have won the nationwide final twice. In 2016, our bachelor student studying International Sales and Marketing, Mads Fuglsang Hedegaard and Dansk Supermarked Group won and in 2018, our Financial Management and Services bachelor student Daniel Vistisen and EY Aarhus won (picture).
