Go Abroad at 70 partner universities

International opportunities for our students have never been greater

Business Academy Aarhus prides itself in providing excellent Go Abroad possibilities for all our students and the International Office has now secured agreements with 70 partner universities, scattered all over the globe. Most of our partners are based in Europe, but we also have a wide spectrum of countries from non-EU countries.

Go Abroad opportunities are growing

‘We facilitate a broad range of destinations for all our programmes. As we are obliged (by political considerations) to reduce the number of English-language programmes, we are delighted that our Go Abroad opportunities are growing. Students need to be able to experience other cultures and learning styles, something which can be achieved by taking an entire semester abroad or a shorter summer school programme,’ stresses Mads Hedelund, Head of Student Services.

Close collaboration with companies

Our mandate is to educate students primarily for the SME market and our close collaboration with companies allows us to remain up to date with what the market requires – and they want graduates with an international mindset. This task is made easier through our partnerships with universities in other countries.

Not only do we facilitate students taking a semester or summer school abroad, we also welcome incoming exchange students who come to Business Academy Aarhus from one of our partner universities. This enables students, who for whatever reason cannot travel abroad, to experience diverse cultures in Denmark. This is part of what we call internationalisation@home.

We also host several summer schools over the summer period for shorter international experiences. We host these in cooperation with our partner universities – both on their campuses (for example Kuala Lumpur, Toronto or Tokyo) or at our campus in Aarhus (for example students from Germany and Canada).

What are you waiting for?

International Office is always ready to help with your questions concerning semesters abroad or summer schools, but don’t take our word for it. As Rebeka Szomor so eloquently puts it: ‘the Academy has great partnerships all around the world and I wanted to take the opportunity to go abroad from the beginning of my Marketing Management programme. Even though I already got to meet with people from different cultures in Denmark, the exchange semester at BFI in Vienna offered me the chance to connect with even more. Live and discover a new place was the best part of my Erasmus exchange programme.’
