Business Academy Aarhus accepts 2,679 new students
Good news for 2,679 applicants who have been offered a place on one of our programmes for the autumn semester in 2020.
Last night, thousands of aspiring applicants finally found out whether they have been admitted to a higher education programme or not. And once again, Business Academy Aarhus is a very popular educational institution. This is obvious now that the Academy has distributed this year’s 2,679 study places.
We have an increase of 226 students or a percentage of 9 more students compared to last year.
Highest number of students ever
Our Rector Christian Mathiasen is pleased to offer the many qualified students a place and stresses that Business Academy Aarhus received 6,901 applications in all - the highest number ever.
‘Due to an extraordinary number of applicants this year, we have decided to expand the number of study places on some of our most popular programmes and programmes with particularly good employment opportunities. It is great that this year we can accommodate even more young people’s wishes to study with us,’ says an elated Rector, Christian Mathiasen.
Financial programmes and marketing are the most popular
The Academy’s financial programmes have had a record number of applicants this year.
For example, we have admitted 20 percent more into our 3½-year Financial Management and Services Bachelor programme and 25 percent more into our AP Degree in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management (only available in Danish).
The same applies to the Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology and Application (only available in Danish), who have accepted 28, which is an 40 percent increase compared to last year.
Julie swaps law for finance
26-year-old Julie Nørgård from Aarhus has been admitted to her 1st priority and will start in August, together with 287 others, on our Financial Management and Services Bachelor’s programme.
‘I started studying law for a couple of years but stopped as the study environment was not really me. Now I look forward to starting at Business Academy Aarhus,’ she says.
At Business Academy Aarhus, Julie will get the chance to alternate between academic books, cases from the business community and real-life teaching. In addition, she also needs to do an internship.
In the future, I see myself either as a bank adviser or a real estate agent,’ says Julie.
There are still a few available study places
If you haven't been accepted into your dream programme, there are still available study places on several programmes at Business Academy Aarhus.
The available study places will be published on baaa.dk.
