As part of your programme, you will have an internship in a company in your 4th and 5th semesters.
In your internship you will get to test your newly acquired skills in a company and get insight into future work assignments and career opportunities. You will be able to connect your theoretical knowledge with practical experience, and at the same time strengthen your CV.
You can choose an internship company that fits your interests within chemical and biotechnical work. You therefore add a special profile to your programme which fits with your future career plans. As part of your internship, you must write a project report which is based on a problem statement from the company. Here, you will have the opportunity to specialise within your specific interests.
Get insight into your career options
The internship gives you insight into work as a chemical and biotechnical analyst in a company. Your theoretical knowledge will be exemplified and you will get new practical competencies in the area of quality assurance, documentation, work environment, procurement, information technology and technical laboratory methods.
The internship is a mandatory part of your programme, and it is your responsibility to find an internship company. To help, we have a wide range of tools and contacts available, e.g. via our career centre.
If the internship is in Denmark, you will get a salary during the internship in accordance with the collective agreement between the trade union and the State/Confederation of Danish Industry. If your internship is outside of Denmark, the company is not obliged to pay a salary, but you can take SU (the government grant) with you.
