Earn a Bachelor's degree in 1½ years
The AP degree programme in Multimedia Design could be the first 2 years of a Bachelor’s programme. On completion of this programme, you have the opportunity to apply for our Digital Concept Development Bachelor top-up programme, to earn a full Bachelor’s degree.
Go abroad as part of your degree
You can choose to join a summer school, do an exchange semester or do your internship abroad as part of the programme.
Programme
The Multimedia Design programme is a 2-year higher education programme for people who want to get knowledge and skills within user interface design (UI), user experience design (UX), digital content, programming, and business understanding. You will work professionally with the design and development of web solutions and mobile services - and learn about digital media, innovation and idea development.
Lecturers and students on the programme are very ambitious, and the academic level reflects this. With a clear focus on internationalisation and developing a global network, you are encouraged to be more creative and produce better-finished products.
The programme is project-orientated with a strong focus on group work. The first three semesters contain a mix of exciting subjects, where you’ll work project-orientated with international companies. This is followed by an internship during which you get to test your digital skills in practice. We collaborate with lots of international and internationally focused companies for internships. There are no elective subjects in this programme.
During the programme, you will build a portfolio that showcases not only your creative work within the field of multimedia design, but at the same time will document your global skills, intercultural competencies, knowledge and experience.
Internship in a company
During your fourth semester, you must complete a 10-week internship in a company either in Denmark or abroad. This allows you to develop a unique profile through in-depth study of topics of particular interest to you.
After your internship, you finish your studies by preparing a final exam project, which you often complete in collaboration with a company in Denmark or abroad.

In the degree programme, you will work with planning, management and implementation of multimedia projects. You will learn to apply communication theories, narrative techniques and means of communication and you will acquire practical experience with UX/UI design and programming.
You’ll work with the subjects through dialogue-based teaching, project-orientated group work and individual assignments. We attach great importance to having continuous collaboration with relevant internationally focused companies and organisations who contribute with concrete cases, experience and knowledge.
As a student on the Multimedia Design programme, you are expected to bring your own laptop which is suitable for multimedia production.
High theoretical level and 'hands-on'
We aim for a high theoretical level using the ‘hands-on’ principle. You will work with a process from analogue sketches to digital development - from pens to pixels.
Several people with different professional backgrounds often work together on multimedia projects. A lot of the teaching, therefore, involves interacting in groups. This creates a dynamic environment with optimal opportunities for learning from one another.
Cases and project work
The teaching alternates between classroom teaching, assignments, cases, workshops and last, but not least, project work. In each semester, we spice up the teaching with many inspiring presentations and lectures by representatives from the business community and research institutions.

Admission requirements
Non-Danish applicants must apply for admission on the same terms as Danish applicants. You are eligible for admission if you have either a Danish qualifying examination or qualifications recognised or assessed as being comparable to the Danish entrance qualifications.

In the 4th semester, you will do an internship in a company.
In your internship, you will get to test your newly acquired skills in a company and get insight into future work assignments and career opportunities. You will be able to connect your theoretical knowledge with practical experience and at the same time strengthen your CV.
In the internship, you can test a specific field of work and then focus your programme in relation to your career plans. Here, you will have the opportunity to specialise within your specific interests.
The internship is a mandatory part of your programme, and it is your responsibility to find an internship company. To help, we have a wide range of tools and contacts available, for example via our career centre.

Diploma degree programme (part-time)
A Diploma degree programme provides you with skills that are equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree programme. You educate yourself on a part-time basis while you work. You must have 2 years of professional experience in order to be admitted.
