Please note that the English test is valid for 2 years.

For non-EU applicants, we only accept IELTS and TOEFL.

If you have an AP degree from Denmark taught in English, you fulfill the English requirement.

If you do not have an AP degree from Denmark, you must have passed English at a level equivalent to English level B of a Danish upper secondary examination. This means that international applicants must have had English for at least 210 hours during the last three years of their upper secondary education.*

In addition, applicants with a foreign upper secondary education must pass an internationally approved test as an entrance exam that we use as a selection criterion.

We accept these tests with the following minimum scores:

  • IELTS: 6,5
  • IELTS Indicator: 6,5
  • TOEFL: 83
  • TOEFL iBT Home Edition: 83
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced: 180
  • Cambridge C2 Proficiency: 200
  • Oxford Online Placement test: C1 (min. 85 in each part). We only accept this test when it is completed at Business Academy Aarhus (sign up here) or through an officially approved partner agency.

Please note that the English test is valid for 2 years.

For non-EU applicants, we only accept IELTS and TOEFL.

Native English speakers, applicants with an IB Diploma and applicants with Nordic entrance exams (including applicants with a qualifying examination from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Scotland, or Ireland) are exempt from an English test. Please note that applicants with a qualifying examination from all other countries (including African and Asian countries, where the language of instruction is English) must submit a test.

  • If you have a Danish qualifying exam (including applicants completing an AP degree from Denmark before 1 July)

You must apply for a 1½-year Bachelor’s top-up degree digitally via our application form available on our website.

You can apply from 1 February.

Before we can process your application, we need all the appropriate documents as proof of the information you have provided in your application.

See what documentation you have to send with your application

You can choose up to five 5 priorities on the application form – but be aware of the following:

  • If you are accepted into a lower priority, you will not be placed on the waiting list for your 1st priority.
  • If you apply for admission to one programme and are not accepted straight away, you will be placed on the waiting list for any available study places.
  • If you apply for admission to several of our programmes and are not accepted into any of them, you will be placed on a waiting list for all the programmes you applied to. You will be offered a place on whichever programme gets to your name first on their waiting list. This might not be your 1st priority.
  • You will only be offered one place, one time. So, if you say no, you will not be put on the waiting list for any of the other programmes you applied for. You will then need to stay up to date with any available study places

You can calculate your weighted average using the Excel sheet below. You must enter your marks and the associated ECTS credits. Please note that this average only provides a guideline.

You will get an answer from us no later than 7 July.

Where do I get the answer?

You’ll get the answer in your digital post from public authorities.

If you do not have a Danish CPR number (and therefore cannot recieve digital post from public authorities), an answer will be sent to the email address you provided in your application.

I have not received my answer!

First of all – please check your spam folder.

Even though you have applied for several programmes, you will only get one answer. You will only get an answer from the programme that has accepted you.

If you don’t get offered a study place on any programme, you will get only one rejection letter.

Your first day of study will be Wednesday 23 August 2023.
