Summer intake | Guidelines
AP degree and Bachelor's degree programmes
EU/EEA applicants must apply no later than 15 March at 12.00 midday. Applications later than this will only be accepted if we have available places.
Non-EU applicants must apply no later than 1 March at 12.00 midday. Applications later than this will not be accepted due to the long processing time for residence permit applications.
How to apply?
You can apply from 1 February on optagelse.dk/admission (the application system).
You will find all forms and a complete pdf guide on optagelse.dk/admission
We do not accept any applications or appendices via the postal service. All applications and appendices must always be uploaded via the application system on optagelse.dk.
You will receive an email as proof that we have received your application. We recommend that you save this email.
International applicants without a Danish CPR number
If you do not have a Danish CPR (civil registration) number, you will be asked to give your e-mail address in order to get your application profile registered in the system.
Once you have entered your e-mail address, a direct link to your login page will be sent to your inbox. Check your spam folder if you do not receive this e-mail. With this login you will be able to start the application process.
The system will automatically create a temporary CPR number for you. Your e-mail address and this temporary CPR number will be used to identify you throughout your whole application process, by both the application system and Business Academy Aarhus.
Once you have submitted and approved your application(s), a message will be displayed containing a link to the signature page. You must click on this link to generate a signature page.
You must then date, sign and upload this signature page - one for each of the programmes you have applied for. This is very important, as we will otherwise not be able to see, download or process your applications.
We do not accept signature pages by email or by post. We will only process your application if your signature page is uploaded correctly via the form on our homepage.
International applicants with a Danish CPR number
If you already have a Danish CPR number, you must use this to log on to the application system instead of your e-mail address. You do not have to do anything further after having submitted your application and attachments and you will not receive the signature page.
Upload the attachments with your application, or as soon as possible afterwards. The sooner we receive your full application, the sooner we can start considering your application.
You must upload the following documentation with your application:
- Your upper secondary diploma and transcript of records
- English test results
- A signed and stamped verification form (see below)
- Other educational diplomas, if any (e.g. a Bachelor's Diploma)
- Letter of motivation (1-2 pages)
And in addition for non-EU applicants (get more information):
- Danish residence permit, if any
- Copy of passport
- A receipt of the application fee payment
If you are unable to upload your diploma by the deadline, you must upload a transcript of results, signed and stamped, which includes marks and examinations so far. The deadline for uploading your diploma is 5 July at 12.00 midday when the application system will go offline. Should you receive your upper secondary diploma after this date, please send a copy of it to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that non-EU applicants must upload all documentation by 1 March.
Please do not upload any documentation for non-relevant activities.
You must upload a verification form along with your application, documenting how many hours of instruction you have had in any relevant subjects during the final three years at your upper secondary school.
We do not accept other verification forms than this one. If you do not upload this verification form, it is not possible for us to evaluate the application.
Application fee for Non-EU applicants
Please note that all international applicants who are admitted to a programme must pay a materials fee of EUR 150-200 depending on the programme. Information about payment will be provided in the admission letter or student contract.
We will contact you if we need any additional information to process your application.
If you have additional questions about your application, you can contact us at email@example.com
