Registration for EU/EEA citizens Step 1
As an EU/EEA citizen you must apply for an EU/EEA residency permit immediately after you arrive in Aarhus.

The application form must be downloaded, printed, filled-in and then you must hand it in personally at their office:

When applying for your residency permit, you must bring all the relevant documents with you:
- Your passport
- A passport photo
- Proof of final admission to the Academy (confirmation attest)
You must also be able to prove the following:
- Your full name
- Your date of birth and place of birth registration
- Your most recent address abroad
- The date of changing your address
- Your future address in Denmark
- Your nationality.
Your EU/EAA residency permit will be sent to your home address in Denmark.
Please note that you must have applied for your residency permit from the Regional State Administration before you can visit Citizen Services Aarhus to obtain your Health Insurance Card/CPR number.
It usually takes about 2 weeks for your residency permit to arrive. This will be sent to your home address, so make sure your name is on the postbox or you will not receive it!
