English requirements

If you have a Danish AP degree taught in English, you fulfill the English requirement.

If you do not have a Danish AP degree taught in English, you must fulfill the English requirements by having either English at Danish B level with minimum score 3.0 from a Nordic upper secondary examination or an officially approved English test.

We accept these tests with the following minimum scores:

  • IELTS: 6,5 *

  • Cambridge C1 Advanced: 180 (formerly known as Cambridge English Advanced: Grade A, B or C)
  • Cambridge C2 Proficiency: 200
  • Oxford Online Placement test: C1 (min. 85 in each part). We only accept this test when it is completed at Business Academy Aarhus. Sign up here

Please note that the English test is valid for 2 years.

For non-EU applicants, we only accept IELTS and TOEFL.

Native English speakers (including applicants with a qualifying examination from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Scotland, or Ireland) are exempt from an English test. Please note that applicants with a qualifying examination from all other countries (including African and Asian countries, where the language of instruction is English) must submit a test.

Will I be put on a waiting list if I apply for more than one programme?

You can choose up to five 5 priorities on the application form – but be aware of the following:

  • If you are accepted into a lower priority, you will not be placed on the waiting list for your 1st priority.
  • If you apply for admission to one programme and are not accepted straight away, you will be placed on the waiting list for any available study places.
  • If you apply for admission to several of our programmes and are not accepted into any of them, you will be placed on a waiting list for all the programmes you applied to. You will be offered a place on whichever programme gets to your name first on their waiting list. This might not be your 1st priority.
  • You will only be offered one place, one time. So, if you say no, you will not be put on the waiting list for any of the other programmes you applied for. You will then need to stay up to date with any available study places

Calculate your average

You can calculate your weighted average using the Excel sheet below. You must enter your marks and the associated ECTS credits. Please note that this average only provides a guideline.

When will I get an answer?

You will get an answer from us no later than 9 July.

If you have applied for a programme with study start in January, you’ll get an answer on 10 December.

Where do I get the answer?

You’ll get the answer in your e-boks.

If you do not have a Danish CPR number (and therefore you don’t have an e-box), an answer will be sent to the email address you provided in your application.

I have not received my answer!

First of all – please check your spam folder.

Even though you have applied for several programmes, you will only get one answer. You will only get an answer from the programme that has accepted you.

If you don’t get offered a study place on any programme, you will get only one rejection letter.

When is study start?

All our Bachelor top-up degrees start on Wednesday 25 August 2021.

On programmes with study start in January, the first day will be Monday 1 February 2021.
