Admission requirements

Here you can see an overview of the different admission requirements, when you want to apply for an AP degree programme at Business Academy Aarhus.

Non-Danish applicants must apply for admission on the same terms as Danish applicants. You are eligible for admission if you have either a Danish qualifying examination or qualifications recognised or assessed as being comparable to the Danish entrance qualifications.

You must have passed your qualifying exam by 5 July.

See the specific requirements you need to fulfil based on your educational background

Applicants with a qualifying exam from a foreign country

All applicants must have passed English at a level equivalent to English level B of a Danish upper secondary examination. This means that international applicants must have had English for at least 210 hours during the last three years of their upper secondary education.*

In addition, applicants with a foreign upper secondary education must pass an internationally approved test as an entrance exam that we use as a selection criterion. We accept these tests with the following minimum scores:

  • IELTS: 6,5
  • IELTS Indicator: 6,5
  • TOEFL: 83
  • TOEFL iBT Home Edition: 83
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced: 180
  • Cambridge C2 Proficiency: 200
  • Oxford Online Placement test: C1 (min. 85 in each part). We only accept this test, when it is completed at Business Academy Aarhus (sign up here) or through an officially approved partner agency.

Please note that the English test is valid for 2 years.

For non-EU applicants, we only accept IELTS and TOEFL.

Native English speakers, applicants with an IB Diploma and applicants with Nordic entrance exams (including applicants with a qualifying examination from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Scotland, or Ireland) are exempt from an English test. Please note that applicants with a qualifying examination from all other countries (including African and Asian countries, where the language of instruction is English) must submit a test.
