International citizens

If you are not a Danish citizen, you have to meet certain requirements in order to be able to receive SU.

How to apply 

You can apply for SU on su.dk from 10 August (study start after August 20 you can recieve SU from September) or 10 January (study start after January 20 you can revcieve SU from February).

If you continue directly from an AP to a top-up degree, there are special deadlines for applying for SU. We will let you know these deadlines in letters that you will receive in connection with your admission.

You must apply for SU by filling in the application form online at su.dk

The processing time is normally 2 months – but can be longer in certain busy times. The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Educational Support decides whether or not to grant you SU.
