International citizens
If you are not a Danish citizen, you have to meet certain requirements in order to be able to receive SU.

How to apply
You can apply for SU on su.dk from 10 August (study start after August 20 you can recieve SU from September) or 10 January (study start after January 20 you can revcieve SU from February).
If you continue directly from an AP to a top-up degree, there are special deadlines for applying for SU. We will let you know these deadlines in the messages that you will receive in connection with your admission.

The processing time is normally 2 months – but can be longer in certain busy times. The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Educational Support decides whether or not to grant you SU.

Special opening hours in July and August 2024
From 1 July to 12 July, you can reach us by phone and email during our normal opening hours. You cannot come to the SU Office in person.
From 13 July to 28 July, the SU office will be closed. Write an email - we will reply when we get back.
From 29 July to 11 August, you can reach us by phone and email during our normal opening hours. You cannot come to the SU Office in person.
From 12 August, we are back to our normal opening hours.
